Decor with a story carved into it
Statues, candelabras, mirrors and garden pieces for homes that lean toward the gothic, the mythic and the beautifully strange. Each piece is chosen for its sculpting, its finish and the mood it brings to a room.
Gothic Home started with a frustration familiar to anyone who loves this style: most gothic and fantasy decor is flimsy, badly cast and looks like a costume prop. We wanted dragons with real anatomy, angels with modelled drapery, candelabras heavy enough to hold a candle without wobbling. So we began sourcing from the workshops that actually sculpt their own masters.
Today we work with a small circle of studios producing cold-cast resin, bronze-effect and stone-effect pieces, alongside faithful reproductions of museum sculpture. The catalogue grows slowly, one piece at a time, because we would rather turn something down than ship a hollow rattling casting.
What we care about in a piece
Sculpting first
Detail is what separates a collectible from a trinket: scale texture on a dragon’s wing, the fold of a robe, the expression on a cherub’s face. We inspect every new model up close before it goes on the site, and we pass on anything that looks soft or blurred.
Finishes that age well
Our bronze-effect and antique-stone finishes are hand-applied and sealed, not sprayed on as a single flat coat. They keep their depth in daylight and under candlelight, and they don’t flake at the edges after a season.
Indoor and outdoor
Garden ornaments are made from resin blended for frost and UV resistance, so a gargoyle or fairy left outside won’t chalk over by the second winter. Each listing states clearly whether a piece is intended for sheltered display or full outdoor use.
Packed to survive
Wings, horns, outstretched hands and thin candle arms are the first things to break in transit. Fragile pieces are double-boxed with moulded foam around the vulnerable parts, and we photograph the packing standard we expect from every supplier.
From workshop to your shelf
A straightforward process, with a physical check at the point where it matters most.
We find the sculptors and studios behind the models we admire.
Samples arrive and we handle them: weight, detail, finish, base stability.
Approved pieces are photographed and measured, with honest dimensions listed.
Your order is wrapped, boxed and tracked to your door.
A small team of collectors
Gothic Home is run by a handful of people who furnished their own homes this way long before they sold anything. Between us we have too many candelabras, a hallway of mirrors and a garden that unsettles the neighbours.
That habit is useful: we answer questions about size, weight and finish from experience rather than from a spec sheet. If you’re unsure whether a statue suits a niche or a mantelpiece, ask us and we’ll tell you honestly.
